This is the classic "East Side" hill in Providence, and one of the hardest hills in Rhode Island. The section from North Main to Benefit is actually Star Street, and has the steepest section on the climb, but because you're usually fresh at the bottom, it is not the hardest part. No matter how low the gears you bring are, you're almost always at the bottom of the range by the top. H. P. Lovecraft apparently lived on this street.
