Staples road runs parallel to Tower Hill Road and cuts out a portion of riding on Nate Whipple Highway. Both sides of the climb are reasonable climbs, but the eastern side is decidedly harder. There's a short section of unpaved road between the tops of the two climbs, but there's no real climbing or descending on dirt.
